New York City, USA 11.07.2023 - We are proud to announce that VGNYsoft will be releasing the soundtrack for Stellar Interface in Vinyl, CD, and Cassette Tape formats.
While we're primarily known for publishing independent games and giving them a physical printing, there was a part of us that wanted to do more with our releases, We started with releasing standard edition of our games then we evolved into publishing an Elite edition for our Nintendo Switch titles that included extra goodies that were exclusive only to that edition and was very reminiscent of the old school NES and co. release. But now we're taking another step forward by starting to publish physical versions of the soundtracks for our games.
Hyper Sentinel was the very first game that we published the soundtrack for. It was released in the cassette tape format and was done not only as an homage to the vintage roots of the developers but also as a way of getting our feet wet and seeing if people are indeed interested in a physical version of a game's soundtrack. It was a risk but as the saying goes "Always bet on physical," or something like that. As a result, we're expanding our selection with the pre-order of the Stellar Interface soundtrack by making it available in cassette tape, CD AND vinyl formats.
But that's not all! We're adding an additional and totally original track on the Vinyl of Stellar Interface called "Overture." It was specifically composed by Stephen Pierce (original composer of the soundtrack) and was then recorded live in Venice by renown cellist and soloist, Nicola Boscaro!
We're slowly looking throughout our catalog of games to see which is the next one to receive a physical media port of its soundtrack. Time will tell but for now, we hope you enjoy some rocking tunes!
